The CSO-SEAI Liaison Group was established to ensure that there is ongoing regular contact between the SEAI and CSO on energy-related statistics.
The membership includes:
- CSO staff from Environment Statistics and Accounts Division;
- SEAI staff from their statistical unit; and
- Other CSO and SEAI staff attend meetings as relevant.
The work of the Liaison Group is primarily focused on areas of relevance to Eurostat e.g. Energy Statistics Regulation.
The Liaison Group meets at least annually to review progress on energy statistics by both organisations and to identify possible new areas of cooperation.
