Lead Worker Representatives

Lead worker representatives have been appointed in each office. There are two representatives in the Cork office, one in each of the Dublin offices and two for the field operations.

They are tasked with:

  • working with management to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace
  • undertaking the necessary training to be effective in preventing the spread of the virus. The CSO will provide a structured framework to facilitate this
  • working with the COVID-19 Response Team to ensure that all the actions in this protocol are fully adhered to in order to ensure the suppression of COVID-19 in the workplace
  • providing a platform to allow confidential communication between staff and management in relation to concerns or issues with the COVID-19 response and protocols
  • providing up-to-date reliable information to employees and clarify the CSO's protocols, procedures and policies, which will change over time, as the public health advice changes

All staff

All staff are vital in the CSO in contributing to a robust response to COVID-19 in the workplace  Aside from the usual day to day staff responsibilities, COVID-19 brings new challenges that staff need to be aware of so that the Return to Work Safely Protocol can be implemented effectively. Staff should:

  • keep themselves updated on the latest advice from Government and the HSE
  • make themselves aware of and follow CSO House Rules related to COVID-19 and returning to the workplace
  • report any issues, concerns or suggestions to the Lead Worker Reps and/or Line Manager
