Goal 1. End poverty in all its forms everywhere
Goal 1.1By 2030, eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere, currently measured as people living on less than $1.25 a day

DFA A Better World  A Better World commits Ireland to reaching the furthest behind first with the necessary policies, resources and tools to effectively tackle extreme poverty and inequality.  
DFIN Ongoing engagement with IFIs.; A Better World;  The Global Island, Partnership strategies (SIDS, Africa and Asia Pacific)  Using Ireland’s policy for international development, A Better World, in particular the commitment to the furthest behind first; in addition to guidance from The Global Island, and Ireland’s partnership strategies (SIDS, Africa and the Asia Pacific); the Department will assist to progress the eradication of extreme poverty through ongoing engagement with International Financial Institutions who have aims closely aligned with this goal.    
Goal 1.2By 2030, reduce at least by half the proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions according to national definitions

Roadmap for Social Inclusion 2020 - 2025

Roadmap for Social Inclusion 2020 - 2025 aims to reduce the number of people in consistent poverty in Ireland to 2% or less and to position Ireland within the top five countries in the EU.
Goal 1.3Implement nationally appropriate social protection systems and measures for all, including floors, and by 2030 achieve substantial coverage of the poor and the vulnerable

Ongoing engagement with IFIs.; A Better World;  The Global Island, Partnership strategies (SIDS, Africa and Asia Pacific)  The Department will ensure that  our key foreign policy and development priorities, derived from A Better World, (including Gender Equality and Women's economic empowerment) are reflected in  International Financial Institutions operations and strategies.  The Department will assist to progress  this goal through ongoing engagement with International Financial Institutions who have aims closely aligned with this goal. 
Goal 1.5By 2030, build the resilience of the poor and those in vulnerable situations and reduce their exposure and vulnerability to climate- related extreme events and other economic, social and environmental shocks and disasters

DHLGH Housing for All  Housing for All is a multi-annual, multi-billion euro plan which will improve Ireland’s housing system and deliver more homes of all types for people with different housing needs. 
Goal 1.aEnsure significant mobilization of resources from a variety of sources, including through enhanced development cooperation, in order to provide adequate and predictable means for developing countries, in particular least developed countries, to implement programmes and policies to end poverty in all its dimensions

DFA A Better World A Better World provides the framework for Ireland’s expanding development programme, in line with our commitment to reach the UN target of allocating 0.7% of our GNI to official development assistance (ODA) by 2030. It commits Ireland to scaling up resources and capacity across the following four policy priorities: gender equality; reducing humanitarian need; climate action; and strengthening governance. 
DFIN Ongoing engagement with IFIs;  A Better World,; The Global Island  The Department will encourage cooperation between IFIs to maximise available resources, ensure their effective allocation; and engage with IFIs to ensure Ireland’s international policy priority to reduce humanitarian need, is appropriately reflected and progressed in the  governance, policies and  operations of each institution.  
Goal 1.bCreate sound policy frameworks at the national, regional and international levels, based on pro-poor and gender-sensitive development strategies, to support accelerated investment in poverty eradication actions

1.4 By 2030, ensure that all men and women, in particular the poor and the vulnerable, have equal rights to economic resources, as well as access to basic services, ownership and control over land and other forms of property, inheritance, natural resources, appropriate new technology and financial services, including microfinance
