Target Population:
Farms
Sampling Frame:
A stand-alone register is used, which holds all identified specialised farms in the state. This register is updated from registers from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
Survey Size:
10,000 normally. 55,000 in a farm structures year.
Principal Variables Collected:
Area farmed, pasture, principal crops, principal livestock categories.
Principal External Users:
Government, Eurostat, Agriculturalists, Researchers.
