The CSO Standard Principal Economic Status Classification (TXT 1KB)    is a classification of principal economic status, which classifies usual situation with regard to employment. The CSO Classifications Board approved this classification on May 6th 2004.

Classification

This is a 2-level hierarchical classification:

Level 1 (TXT 1KB)   contains 8 categories with 1-digit codes.

Level 2 (TXT 1KB)   contains 9 categories with 2-digit codes.

At Level 2, Unemployed is divided into Unemployed, looking for first regular job and Unemployed, having lost/given up previous job.
